The Freedom Film Festival 2005
Entry ends 31 May

This film festival is a platform that provides recognition to budding Malaysian filmmakers who produce films and documentaries of global issues such as poverty, human rights, HIV/AIDS and gender discrimination. The competition is opened to amateur and professional filmmakers in three different categories: Animation, Documentary and Docudrama (five to 45 minutes each).

Rhythm & Versus

This is an art exhibition that explores the early discoveries of calligraphy in the Persian and Arabic languages through an examination of single folios from the 16th to the 19th century. There is a collection of 250 Persian calligraphic works accessible to the public through a comprehensive catalogue that examines these manuscripts in detail, with translations of their content.
