CoA has been selected to participate in the community service project (Save Tasik Chini) by Digi - DIGI'S AMAZING MALAYSIANS. Aneem and Belle will work hand in hand with Mr.Bishan Singh and many others. They will teach Form 2 students from Sek. Men. Keb. Sultan Abu Bakar, Kuantan on Visual Art and Photography. The project will be launched on 29th April 2006 and will continue until July, where our Deputy Prime Minister will close the project at Tasik Chini. The students artworks will be showcased at a special exhibition for this project.

Given the opportunity to teach art to these kids, is truly an honour for us. CoA's always wanted to work with children since our main objective is to promote art to youngsters especially kids because we believe that children should get their exposure on art at a very young age. :)

Anyway, last Saturday, we (Aneem, Belle, Rasfan & Brahim from FNB) went on an unofficial trip to Tasik Chini to take a closer look. A 3 hour journey to Tasik Chini's kinda tiring actually but all that gone once we saw the beautiful lake. It's sad honestly, knowing that people neglected it. Land and dam developement is endangering and polluting the lake. We took a boat ride to go to the Tanjung Puput (an Orang Asli's village). Everything's so nice. Abang Robert (our boat navigator a.k.a our tour guide) was so friendly. At first he was a bit shy, but then he told us so many stuffs about Tasik Chini and people in Tanjung Puput. We even made friends with the kids there. Nasa, Ago and few others. They were very shy, but friendly once they're comfortable with you. :) It was fun but we didn't stay for long because we had to head back to KL.
